Number of international visitors to Ukraine increases

According to the State Border Guard Service, the number of tourists from non-bordering countries increased in Ukraine last year.

Specifically, inbound travel from Spain was up 68%, from Italy 15.4%, and from France 9.2%. In addition, India had a sharp 57.4% rise in tourists travelling to Ukraine, China 38.8%, and Israel 21.7%.

Data from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade show that aggregate tourism duty and tax revenues generated by the tourism industry increased by 20.7% to 4.2 billion grivnas. Reportedly, the Transcarpathian, Odessa and Kharkov regions are the Ukraine's most popular tourist destinations for foreigners.
