Russian books prevail in Chernigov region

A collection of Russian publications is 5% more than that of Ukrainian printed material in libraries of the Chernigov region. Currently, 727 libraries are operating in the region and they are attended by 427,000 readers, given that the local population numbers a little more than a million.

Library stock in the Chernigov oblast amounts to about 10 million publications. On the average every library reader has got 24 books over the course of a year.
