418 Ukrainian citizens fall victim to human trafficking

According to the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, 418 people have fallen victim to human trafficking from 2014 through 2017, including 209 men, 169 women and 40 children. In particular, 256 people were trapped in forced labor, 87 trafficked into the sex industry, 42 involved in begging, 17 forced into committing criminal activities, and certain customers schemed removal of organs from six citizens of Ukraine. Reportedly, Ukrainian victims of human trafficking were exploited in this country, Russia, Poland, Turkey, Germany, Israel, Greece and the United Arab Emirates.
