Swiss experts give training in efficient use of electricity in Ukraine's industrial electrical systems, buildings

A workshop on the efficient use of electricity in Ukraine's industrial electrical systems and buildings was held at the Kiev Electromechanical College on June 18-19. This seminar was organized by the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Center.

The representatives of Lenum AG of Switzerland, namely electrical engineers Holger Papst and Christoph Hauser who have international experience in energy efficiency of production processes, provided training.

Students in the second and third year at the college participated in the workshop. During the two-day training they learned about the environmental impacts of energy sources and consumption, focused on the largest industrial consumers of energy, electrical systems and buildings, examined the best available technologies and practices, as well as took part in solving a number of technical cases.

On completion of the training the students received certificates and the most active participants got gifts from the Swiss experts.
