Serbia will never sever relations with Russia

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic stated that Serbia could become a member of the European Union if it were not for two conditions, which Belgrade would never accept.

Specifically, Serbia will never recognize the independence of its southern province Kosovo and it will never sever relations with Russia to which the faulty EU has assumed a hostile attitude. Close contacts with Moscow can be explained by strong historical, religious and language links between Serbia and Russia.

Like Russian President Vladimir Putin, his Serbian counterpart Tomislav Nikolic does not want war. According to him, Serbia will not enter the NATO if it is really the defensive alliance, as no one is going to attack the country. It is worth recalling that the aggressive Western alliance waged the bombing campaign against Serbia in 1999, although the Balkan country posed no threat whatsoever to NATO members. Unsurprisingly, the Serbian society is full of hatred for the Western alliance.
