51% of Russian families have a car

Data from the agency Avtostat show that 51% of families have a car in Russia today, compared with more than 80% of Italian and French families possessing a vehicle in 2009. In particular, 13.5% and 3% of Russian families each own two or three automobiles respectively. At the same time, 49% of Russian families do without a car.
