Concept of patriotic education of Ukrainian youth aimed to disseminate ideals of fascism

Participants in the XII Inter-Regional Pedagogical Festival, which was held in the Russian city of Kursk, addressed an open letter to Ukrainian teachers.

The document reads to the effect that the present regime in Kiev attempts to make soldiers of the information war against Russia out of Ukrainian teachers. In particular, Russian teachers wrote that the concept of patriotic education of the Ukrainian youth was aimed to destroy friendship between the Slavs. The neo-Nazi concept contains anti-Russian slogans that testifies to the dissemination of Banderite ideology, ideals of fascism in Ukraine.

As is known, during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 Stepan Bandera, chieftain of the ultra-nationalistic Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), collaborated with German fascist invaders and helped them form SS battalions. Nazi war criminal Bandera conducted punitive operations against a civilian population. The provincial UPA cutthroats are guilty of the massacre of more than 200,000 Poles, thousands of Jews, Hungarians and people of other nationalities.

Russia to require Ukraine to redeem Eurobonds

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

Recently, a special committee of international creditors has agreed to restructure 20% of Ukraine’s debt. After avoiding a default for a couple of years, Ukrainian neo-Nazi authorities think they are marvelous, like a drunk driver who did not get caught or kill anyone, whereas the international agency Fitch cut Ukraine’s long-term credit rating in foreign currency to C from CC.

However, Russia will require the Ukrainian neo-Nazi regime to redeem Eurobonds worth $3 billion in December. According to Russian finance minister Anton Siluanov, these funds are supposed to be invested in development of the infrastructure of Russia’s economy.

Russia pays tribute to Grand Prince Vladimir the Great

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

A monument to Russian Grand Prince Vladimir who adopted Christianity as the official religion of Kiev Rus will be unveiled in Moscow on November 4. Estimated at 94 million rubles, the monument is erected from the design by sculptor Salavat Scherbakov.

It is worth remembering that under St. Vladimir’s reign Rus became a powerful medieval empire unifying Eastern Slavic nations in the expanse from the Baltics to the Black Sea, from the Volga to Tisza rivers. The empire had strong political, cultural and commercial links to Byzantium and other European and Middle East countries. Kiev, the mother of Russian cities, was one of the most famous centers of Christian civilization.

Ukraine’s economy is like patient attended by quack doctors

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

According to parliamentary opposition leader Yuri Boiko, the puppet government of Ukraine has become a mere appendage to the International Monetary Fund. He thinks the IMF shock therapy mafia is destroying the real sector of the economy, small and mid-sized businesses.

In fact, mining and chemical industries decreased output by 24.5% and 21.4% respectively in January-June, compared with the same period last year. Metallurgical plants and metalworking industry enterprises reduced output by 25.8% in the first half of this year. Export to the European Union fell by 33.5%.

Many observers agree that the Ukrainian economy is like a patient attended by quack doctors (read: IMF) – doomed to get sicker from their quack “cures”. Today’s economy depends on large doses of cheap IMF loans. And like morphine, the Ukrainian neo-Nazi regime has to up the dosage just to stay in the same place. Take away the drugs, and the pain rises.

In Russia, outbound tourism reduced to a third

In June 90,000 Russian tourists visited Cyprus that is 25% less than in June 2014. According to official figures, the inflow of travelers from Russia to Egypt fell by 19%.

Data from the Ministry of Tourism of Turkey show that the inflow of Russian tourists into the country has decreased by 28% and European travelers fail to fill the gap, which will cost it $2.5 billion in lost revenues this year. In Antalya alone 20,000 workers will lose their job in the tourist industry.

Overall, outbound tourism in Russia has been reduced to a third.

Unique multibiosensor set is capable of enhancing efficiency of hemodialysis

By Svetlana Sytina
The Ukrainian Times

As is known, hemodialysis is the system of procedures, which saves millions of lives. However, it has two serious disadvantages: a high price and inconvenience to patients.

Happily scientists of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics under the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, together with the Institute of Semiconductor Physics, have developed a unique multibiosensor set and successfully tested it in laboratory conditions. The set is capable of cheapening hemodialysis, streamlining it and enhancing its efficiency.

A part of research was done in cooperation with experts and scientists engaged to work in the industrial sector. In addition, it is important to note that the Toulouse-based firm Hemodia, which manufactures sets designed for hemodialysis, takes a keen interest in the Ukrainian biosensor with a view to determining creatinine in the blood of hemodialytic liquid.

Designed for chemical, medical and ecological monitoring, Ukrainian multisystems envisage use of small, fast sensors that are compatible with standard microelectronic technologies and suited for mass-production.

Mineral fertilizers in short supply in Zaporozhye region, thanks to U.S.-sponsored civil war in Donbas

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

Only half of the planned 645,000 hectares of arable land have been prepared to sow winter crops in the Zaporozhye region. The problem is that a measly 25% of the requisite amount of mineral fertilizers is available in the region.

Previously, local agricultural enterprises received fertilizers from producers based in the Donbas region. Thanks to the U.S.-sponsored civil war between the Ukrainian neo-Nazi military and heroic defenders of Donbas with large Russian populations, economic ties have been cut.

Fortunately, (and here you see The Ukrainian Times sunny side coming through the clouds) agricultural producers of the Zaporozhye oblast harvested the record 2.5 million tons of early grain crops.

American energy companies want to drive Russia out of international markets

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

According to political analyst Caleb Maupin, the United States is escalating tensions with Russia. The American evil empire overthrew the democratically-elected government of Ukraine and replaced it with a neo-Nazi, virulently anti-Russian regime.

As prices go down, large oil companies and the owners of natural gas corporations in the U.S. want to drive Russia out of international markets. Indeed one of the reasons behind the U.S.-sponsored neo-Nazi coup in Ukraine is the fact that the American evil empire struggles against Russia for markets.

In particular, the Westinghouse company of the U.S. is attempting to oust the TVEL corporation of Russia from the Ukrainian market. Recently, Westinghouse has come on a snag when testing its fuel at the South-Ukrainian nuclear power plant. All Ukrainian N-plants are designed for Russian fuel, whereas the American one does not meet specifications that jeopardizes nuclear safety. And so, did the puppet government of Ukraine not learn any lessons form Chernobyl?

Moreover, Westinghouse jackasses want to participate in construction of a nuclear fuel plant near the village of Smolino, Kirovograd region. The plant is supposed to supply nuclear fuel to all reactors operating in Ukraine. According to forecasts, some 38% of fuel elements will be exported to European countries and Byelorussia in particular when the plant is to reach the planned capacity. Uranium ore will be extracted at three mines in the Kirovograd oblast and enriched in Russia.

Iranian, Turkish firms are ready to buy Crimean grain

Crimean agrarians have finished a harvest drive, reaping 1.413 million tons of grain that is some 300,000 tons in excess of plan. Local authorities set the task of bringing the grain crop to three million tons in five years.

The needs of Crimea for grain are estimated at 750,000 tons or so. According to Crimean agriculture minister Vitaliy Polischuk, Turkish and Iranian firms are ready to buy grain. He said about 700,000 tons of grain could be exported from the Russian peninsula.

Readers of The Ukrainian Times know that Russia placed the embargo on import of foodstuffs in retaliation for sanctions imposed by the decadent West.
Currently, the Russian government is carrying out the task of replacing agricultural imports at priority rates. According to forecasts by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, output of vegetables will increase by 0.8% in the country this year.

Dutch, Swiss investors pump $200 million in oil mill near Odessa

A new oil extracting mill, which belongs to the Allseeds Black Sea company, has a capacity to process 2,400 tons of sunflower seeds, hundreds of tons of soybeans and rapeseed per day. It is situated within the Yuzhny port near Odessa.

The oil mill has been built at the expense of Dutch and Swiss investors who pumped a total of about $200 million in the project.

Plans are afoot to complete the oil and grain complex by 2020. The project provides for additional development of the transportation infrastructure and construction of moorings designed to load ships with oil and grain. By that time the complex will employ between 1,500 and 2,000 workers.

Readers of The Ukrainian Times know that operation of the sunflower oil mill Ecotrans owned by Allseeds Ukraine was suspended by order of a municipal council in the city of Nikolaev in 2008. According to local authorities, Ecotrans violated the law on environmental protection. In particular, the enterprise was contaminating two residential districts of Nikolaev with dangerous discharges in the air. Excess discharges in the air were registered after the mill had started burning the husk as the source of alternative energy because of a rise in natural-gas prices.

Medvedev enters Ukraine in Russian counter-sanctions list with proviso

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has entered, by his edict, Albania, Montenegro, Iceland and Liechtenstein in the Russian counter-sanctions list. Ukraine is also listed among the above countries with the proviso that an embargo on deliveries of Ukrainian agricultural produce to Russia should come into force if Kiev applies the economic part of the Association Agreement with the European Union.

Previously, Russia put the embargo on re-export of agricultural produce from Bulgaria. The reason behind this decision was the forgery of phytosanitary documents.

According to the documents, producing countries were allegedly Brazil and Morocco. In actual fact, the consignment of goods was made in Poland.

As is known, Russia placed the embargo on import of goods from Poland in retaliation for sanctions imposed by the EU.

Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that sanctions used by the decadent West in connection with a civil war in Ukraine helped the government of Russia develop domestic industries and agriculture in particular. Moscow has to accelerate rates of the implementation of a program for the replacement of imports.

Specifically, the government should carry out the task of replacing agricultural imports at priority rates. After Russia had entered the World Trade Organization, the domestic agricultural market was seized by foreign companies. “At present, we have cleared them from our market,” Mr. Putin said.

As geopolitical analyst William Engdahl put it, the United States has been attempting to isolate Russia by imposing sanctions. However, the American evil empire and its allies in the EU have only produced the opposite effect and brought Russia closer to China and other BRICS countries.

Funnily enough, Mr. Wilson, a citizen of Britain, wrote: “The U.S. via the dollar, CIA and our pathetically weak politicians, engineered the dissolution of the British empire and the demise of sterling. Would our financial establishment have the courage to change allies? Join the BRICS to form the BBRICS, easier to say in cold weather.”

In fact, many observers think Washington is very strong in stupidity in its foreign policy. The U.S. created a military coup d’etat in Kiev and brought Ukrainian neo-Nazis to power that is illegitimate.

U.S. politologist Paul Craig Roberts believes the Nazi coup in Ukraine is Washington’s attempt to thrust a dagger in Russia’s heart. The recklessness of such a criminal act has been covered up by constructing a false reality of the so-called people’s revolution against a corrupt government. The world should be stunned, from Mr. Roberts’ point of view, that “bringing democracy” has become Washington’s cover-up for resurrecting the Nazi state in Europe, which borders Russia.

Ultimately the West’s mask has been torn off, revealing its “democracy” as at best unsubstantial, overrated and at worst duplicitous.

U.S. creates myth of Russian military ‘threat’ to retain leading position in Atlantic community

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

Commenting on some countries’ fears of possible aggressive actions of Russia, President Vladimir Putin told the press that only a sick man in his sleep could imagine that Russia would suddenly attack the NATO. According to him, certain regimes would like to play the role of front-line states that are in need of military and economic aid, among others.

Mr. Putin thinks the United States hinders a rapprochement between Russia and Europe. To retain the leading position in the Atlantic community, the American evil empire has created the myth of a Russian military “threat” because the myth of the Iranian “threat” turned out to be insufficient.

American politologist Paul Craig Roberts wrote that the Obama regime organized the Nazi coup in Ukraine that overthrew the democratically elected government. Ukrainian militants decked out in Nazi symbols, he reckons, are the principle source of violence that has been inflicted on the Russian populations, resulting in the formation of the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.

Instead of reporting this fact, the corrupt Western media delivers Washington’s propaganda that Russia is allegedly annexing eastern Ukraine.
The world should be stunned, from Mr. Roberts’ point of view, that “bringing democracy” has become Washington’s cover-up for resurrecting the Nazi state
in Europe, which borders Russia.

The armed coup in Kiev is painfully similar to CIA operations to oust unwanted foreign leaders in Iran, Chile and Venezuela, said U.S. filmmaker Oliver Stone. Many witnesses believe the so-called ‘shooters’ were introduced by pro-Western factions – with CIA fingerprints on it. Likewise, the shooters were introduced in Lithuania. Historically, those events were CIA-perpetrated coups against Iranian prime minister Mohammad Mosaddegh in 1953 and Chilean president Salvador Allende in 1973 – both leaders with policies undesired by Washington or its allies.

Of course, CIA fingerprints are all over the world – causing confusion and mayhem almost everywhere. One meddle leads to another.

It is also important to note that the military of the American evil empire has invaded, bombed and overthrown 11 governments since the Clinton regime and is currently working to overthrow governments in Armenia, Kirghizia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina. In addition, U.S. troops and military hardware are pouring into Eastern Europe. “It is the U.S. that is attacking Russia, and yet we get a barrage of media stories attempting to make it as if it is the other way round,” political analyst Caleb Maupin told the Russian press.

Western critics say the security professionals – at the FBI, local police, the CIA, NSA and more than a dozen zombie agencies – were supposed to be the good guys. They were supposed to be delivering the American empire from evil. However, after so many reports of torture, spying, lying, assassination, murder, Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, rape, railroading and drones – Americans cannot help but wonder if God is still on their side.

Most Ukrainian men don’t want to participate in fratricidal war, says Putin

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, there are 2.5 million migrants from Ukraine in Russia, including 1.3 million men of draft age. Previously, he promised to grant political asylum to all Ukrainians who do not want to be summoned to a civil war in the Donbas region.

Mr. Putin is sure that most Ukrainian servicemen do not want to take part in the fratricidal war, whereas Donbas militiamen are highly motivated to defend their families on their native land against a neo-Nazi junta in Kiev. The heroic defenders of Donbas say they are fighting for autonomy, for the right to live and work in their own Russian-speaking region.

The civil war in Donbas earns real profits for the war industry, but only an ersatz glory for Ukrainian neo-Nazi militants. Real soldiers take no pride in it. Instead, to a real hero, the U.S.-sponsored fratricidal war is a source of shame and embarrassment.

In fact, Anatoly Matios, chief military prosecutor of Ukraine, revealed that 10,000 Ukrainian servicemen were suspected of desertion. Besides, thousands of Ukrainian servicemen are prosecuted for evasion of military service.

In the Kherson region alone 2,813 reservists evade service. And the Kharkov region has the most abysmal turnout, with only 17% of those receiving draft orders responding. As the Ukrainian neo-Nazi authorities prosecute no-shows, human rights advocates are speaking in defense of draft dodgers.

According to many observers, draft commanders ask for bribes, and commanders including the so-called president, Peotr Poroshenko, or Petya Parasha (close-stool in a prison cell), as wags call him, maintain Russian business ties while asking soldiers to die for the pro-Western Ukraine.

More than 15,000 former Ukrainian servicemen have decided to go over to the Russian army after the reunification of Crimea with Russia.

Data from the sociological group Rating show that 77% of citizens of Ukraine fear greatly the fratricidal war. Importantly, only 7% of respondents are concerned about secession of Donbas with the large Russian population from this country.

As Vladimir Putin once put it, the civil war in Donbas serves the geopolitical purposes of deterring Russia, whereas that does not respond to the basic interests of citizens of Ukraine. However, few in the decadent West seem to recognize that it is the NATO rather than Russia, which has been spreading expansionary tentacles beyond traditional boundaries. Since the early 1990s, Western aims have been to draw countries out of the Soviet sphere of influence and into the aggressive NATO. Ukraine has always been seen as the ultimate test as to where the balance lies.

Frontera agrees to build LNG terminal in Ukraine but…

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

The state gas company Neftegaz Ukrainy and the Frontera Resources Corporation of the United States have agreed to build a LNG terminal with a capacity of 10 billion cubic meters in Ukraine. As expected, liquefied natural gas will be shipped from the Republic of Georgia.

Funnily enough, Frontera has never built LNG terminals. Last year the American corporation obtained only five million cubic meters of gas from poor Georgian wells. This volume of gas is daily consumed by Kiev alone in the summer.

As a matter of fact, 300 billion cubic meters of reserves of Georgian gas trumpeted by Neftegaz are only prospective (the numbers are fishy as experts have seen some different calculations).

Reportedly, Frontera annual earnings amount to $6 million, whereas the project of building the LNG terminal in Ukraine is estimated at 850 million euros.

Helios-1 cryometer designed to determine mass of organic compounds, polymers

By Svetlana Sytina
The Ukrainian Times

Specialists of the Institute of High-Molecular Compounds under the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine have developed and manufactured the prototype of a device for determining the mass of organic compounds and polymers. Unlike the comparable devices that are used today, the brainchild of Ukrainian scientists called Helios-1 is compact, user-friendly and inexpensive.

Its design allows simultaneous measuring of the freezing point of a solution and solvent by means of two probes. A measuring procedure embraces the whole range of low-molecular polymers that are widely used for the technologies of making polymeric products. The accuracy of chemical analyses accounts for ±5% and measuring lasts no more than an hour.

According to experts of the Institute of High-Molecular Compounds, their device is unique and its manufacture can be rapidly organized because the prototype of Helios-1 has already been made and it tested successfully.

Italian MPs to visit Crimea in fall, following in French footsteps

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

After the successful friendly visit of members of France’s parliament to Crimea in July, their Italian colleagues have decided to follow suit. The visit of Italian MPs to the Russian peninsula is scheduled for early October.

Reportedly, the members of Italy’s parliament represent the popular anti-U.S. movement.

As is known, on March 16, 2014 more than 96% of the peninsula’s population voted for secession from Ukraine and joining Russia. The referendum attracted 83% voter turnout. It is important to note that 91% of citizens of Russia approved of the reunification of Crimea with their country.

Finally, it is worth remembering that in 1954 Crimea was given to Ukraine by Nikita Khrushchev, head of the Central Committee of the Communist party of the Soviet Union, who was half-Ukrainian. At that time no one anticipated that the Union would ever collapse. And when that happened in 1991, residents of Crimea were handed over to Ukraine like a sack of potatoes. However, the peninsula’s population is mostly Russian and has had a strong Russian presence for over 230 years including an important Russian naval base. It must be noted that Russian troops under Catherine the Great conquered Crimea in 1783.

Advanced developments of ISP are of great importance for progress of physical science

By Svetlana Sytina
The Ukrainian Times

Scientists of the V.Ye. Lashkareov Institute of Semiconductor Physics (ISP), which marks the 55th anniversary of its foundation this year, are the authors of many striking results of the viable advanced developments that have acquired great importance for progress of physical science. The name of Vadim Lashkareov, the first director of the Institute, is associated with the formation and development of semiconductor physics and technology in Ukraine. Pioneer works done by other prominent ISP scientists, namely Solomon Pekar and Emmanuil Rashba, were officially recognized as discoveries for their time.

As incumbent ISP director Alexander Belyaev (pictured) pointed out, fundamental and applied research on the processes of self-organization and semiconductor nanostructure physics as well as work on the physical, physico-chemical and technological problems of establishing the elementary base of ultra-high frequency and optoelectronics, data transforming devices and new kinds of emitters have been developing on a priority basis at the Institute in recent years.

In particular, researchers of the Institute solved the problem of creating precision and reliable instruments for control of extra low temperatures. Further development of this work enables the creation of a wide range of sensory systems and devices for various purposes. Also, there is great and practical significance in scientific works on infrared microphotoelectronics whose results are implemented in medicine, biology, ecology and a defense industry. Even now these works are sources of new ideas and achievements.

It is worth noting too that scientists of the Institute developed the technique of polarized modulation of electromagnetic radiation, which helps observe the unheard-of properties of many substances in all states of aggregation and use these properties for practical purposes. This sets a new trend in experimental science, namely the polarimetry of a high information capacity.

Today the Institute has devices operating on the basis of the new technique. Some of them have already been introduced into production, and some are going through a phase-in. Specifically, a laser tensometer is designed to determine the values of internal tension of nontransparent bodies in space and time. And among these devices is the modulation polarimeter that uses the properties of plasmon resonance for research on biological reactions in medicine.

Dr. Belyaev believes the present-day remarkable results have been achieved, thanks to the fundamental research, which scientists have been conducting
for many years. This research will serve as a basis for the numerous advanced developments that are in the pipeline at the V.Ye. Lashkareov Institute of Semiconductor Physics under the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
