Ukraine troubles waters in the Upper Dnestr, say Moldavia’s NGOs

Moldavia’s prime minister Pavel Filip has issued an edict that the interdepartmental working group shall be formed to tackle the problem of construction by Ukraine of six hydroelectric power plants in the upper reaches of the Dnestr River. In particular, the group will study the risks of construction of new hydroelectric power plants there. Previously, several Moldavian non-governmental organizations asked international institutions and the government of Moldavia to prevent Ukraine from building the chain of hydroelectric power plants on the Dnestr for fear of negative consequences for the ecosystem and hydrologic situation in the region.

МЕМОРИАЛЬНЫЙ ЦЕНТР ХОЛОКОСТА «БАБИЙ ЯР» ОТКРОЮТ В МАТЕРИ ГОРОДОВ РУССКИХ

В Киеве планируется открыть Мемориальный центр Холокоста «Бабий Яр» к 2021 году. В состав инициативной группы вошли главный раввин Украины Дов Блайх, экс-президент Польши Александр Квасьневский, министр иностранных дел ФРГ Йошка Фишер, израильский политик Натан Щаранский и другие.

По результатам встреч экспертов из США, Нидерландов, Израиля и Украины будет создан учёный совет. Эта структура будет разрабатывать концепцию проекта, планировать исследовательские программы и впоследствии сопровождать архитектурный конкурс на сооружение мемориала.

В ходе первой встречи эксперты поделились своим видением будущего мемориального центра. По мнению западных учёных, центр в Бабьем Яру должен быть посвящён только погибшим евреям, поскольку именно расстрелы евреев немецко-фашистскими оккупантами были самыми массовыми. Украинские учёные убеждены, что мемориальный центр должен чтить память людей всех национальностей и социальных групп, зверски расстрелянных немецкими нацистами в Бабьем Яру.

Investment, trade potential of Ukraine to be presented in North America in spring

Majority of population against Montenegro’s NATO membership

The Montenegrin opposition coalition Democratic Front will initiate a referendum on the entry of the country into the NATO if a parliamentary majority insists that a decision about Montenegro’s NATO membership be made by a legislature. According to opposition leader Andrija Mandic, the Western alliance has made the great mistake of sending Montenegro an invitation because NATO member states know that two thirds of Montenegrins are against membership of the country in NATO. “It is especially dangerous for Montenegro that the decision would be made by parliament in defiance of the will of citizens,” he said.

Incidentally, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic stated recently that Serbia would not enter NATO. It is worth recalling that the aggressive Western alliance (essentially the United States) waged the bombing campaign against Serbia in 1999, although the Balkan country posed no threat whatsoever to NATO members. Unsurprisingly, the Serbian society is full of hatred for the Western alliance.

In fact, the Western alliance is the cover for Washington’s war crimes. Many observers think it can provide no other service.

So, the government of Montenegro should take note that the only sovereign country in the West is the U.S. All the rest are Washington’s vassals. Anyone integrated into the West, be it NATO or the European Union, is subject to U.S. pressure.

КАК ДЕПУТАТЫ ВЕРХОВНОГО СОВЕТА УКРАИНЫ РАСХОДУЮТ НАРОДНЫЕ ДЕНЬГИ

По данным аппарата Верховного Совета Украины, в прошлом году целая сотня депутатов накаталась за рубежом за народные деньги на сумму 8,4 миллиона гривен. Так называемые туристы с депутатскими мандатами ездили на халяву в Европу, но польза от таких поездок для страны равнялась нулю.

По сообщению канала 1+1, содержание здания Верховного Совета ежегодно «съедает» из государственного бюджета миллиард гривен. В то время как в госбюджете якобы не хватает средств на лечение тяжелобольных украинцев, столовая Верховного Совета закупает яйца по 100 грн., а депутаты, которые имеют собственные транспортные средства, пользуются служебными автомобилями парламента.

Центр противодействия коррупции рассказал об обнаглевшем депутате, который, имея недвижимость, дорогие автомобили, шубы, часы, коллекцию старинных картин,
самоваров и т.д., оформил государственную социальную помощь в 20 тысяч грн. на своего сына. А другой депутат, председатель одного
из парламентских комитетов, взял в аренду престижную яхту и за неделю наплавал на ней с гостями и командой по тёплым морям на 135 тыс. евро.

В РЕЗОЛЮЦИИ ПАСЕ ГОВОРИТСЯ О ВЫСОКОМ УРОВНЕ КОРРУПЦИИ, УЩЕМЛЕНИИ ПРАВ ЯЗЫКОВЫХ МЕНЬШИНСТВ НА УКРАИНЕ

Парламентская ассамблея Совета Европы (ПАСЕ) отметила, что уровень коррупции на Украине всё ещё остаётся очень высоким. «Ассамблея озабочена тем, что борьба с коррупцией продвигается медленно, а её конкретные результаты ограничены», - говорится в документе ПАСЕ.

Кроме того, резолюция призывает нынешний украинский режим принять избирательное и языковое законодательство в соответствии с демократическими стандартами. В ходе рассмотрения резолюции ПАСЕ в её текст внесли несколько поправок касательно, в частности, обеспечения прав оппозиции и предостережения украинскому режиму в отношении ущемления прав языковых меньшинств. Данные поправки были предложены депутатами из Венгрии, Румынии и Польши.

ХАРЬКОВСКИЕ ВЛАСТИ СНИЗЯТ НОРМЫ ПОТРЕБЛЕНИЯ ВОДЫ ДЛЯ ГОРОЖАН

По словам мэра Харькова Геннадия Кернеса, городские власти снизят нормы потребления воды для местных жителей с 8,1 до 6,9 кубометра на человека. Согласно его распоряжению в течение прошлого года была проведена работа по согласованию норм водопотребления в жилых домах коммунальной формы собственности.

Если перевести эти цифры в денежный эквивалент, то это означает экономию до 15 гривен для каждого жителя квартиры. Если к этому прибавить услугу по водоотведению, то по новым нормам потребления с 1 января текущего года, каждый харьковчанин сможет экономить от 18 до 20 грн. в месяц.

Кроме того, в этом году в Харькове установят дополнительно 7,5 тысячи квартирных приборов учёта холодной воды для льготных категорий населения. Для реализации этого задания, коммунальное предприятие «Харьковводоканал» выделит на бесплатную установку приборов 11,8 миллиона грн. По состоянию на 19 декабря 2016 года в Харькове гражданам льготных категорий было установлено свыше 6,7 тыс. приборов учёта холодной воды.
