Serbia plans to enter EES markets as the West plots chaos

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

Recently, the Prime Minister of Serbia has visited Moscow to discuss the establishment of a free trade zone with member countries of the Eurasian Economic Space (EES). As expected, Serbia will export Fiat vehicles, meat from poultry and cheese, among other things, to EES markets.

Meanwhile, ambassadors of the United States and the European Union to Serbia are plotting the radicalization of street protests and scheming to install either a puppet or chaos as in Iraq, Libya and Ukraine. If Belgrade does not get over its affection for the West, Serbia will lose its independence.

According to observers, unsatisfied with its looting of the Third World, South America, Greece, Portugal, Latvia, Argentina, and now Brazil and Ukraine, the American evil empire and its European vassals set their sights on Serbia, Russia, China, India, and South Africa.

Most Ukrainians trust the Church, not the mass media

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

Recent opinion polls show that 67% of Ukrainians could not give political parties their confidence. At the same time, 64% of the pollees trust the Church.

Only 27% of citizens of Ukraine place confidence in the mass media. According to politologist Paul Craig Roberts, Nazi propaganda during the Hitler’s Third Reich was very mild, compared with the constant stream of dangerous lies that are pumped out constantly by the American media.

Most people who are aware and capable of thought have given up what is called the “mainstream media”. The presstitutes have destroyed their credibility by helping the American evil empire to lie – “Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction”, “Assad’s use of chemical weapons”, “Iranian nukes”, “Russian invasion of Ukraine”, and so forth.

Ukrainian fishing fleet sinks in plunder

After the breakup of the Soviet Union, the Ukrainian fishing fleet had 236 ships. However, the fleet had been gradually plundered since the Kravchuk era’s disastrous selloffs.

Thanks to the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation, some 70% of the Ukrainian fishing infrastructure became Russia’s property. According to official figures, Ukrainian fishermen caught only 89,000 tons of fish last year, compared with 216,000 tons in 2013. That is why import accounts for 85% of all fish sold in Ukraine.

Most Ukrainians say Poroshenko must resign

Recent opinion polls found that 78.5% think the American puppet government of Ukraine and Peotr Poroshenko, the so-called president of this country, are above all contributing to the enrichment of oligarchs and the powers that be. Asked about the offshore scandal Panamagate that involves Poroshenko, 65.6% of the pollees said he must resign. This year citizens of Ukraine have given Poroshenko an overall approving rating of only 13.5%.

According to Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute for the Analysis and Management of Policy, Poroshenko undercut economic sovereignty of this country owing to cooperation with the International Monetary Fund. In addition, he lost the Donbas region with large Russian populations and Crimea with more than five million citizens, 10% of the territory, 15% of GDP and 30% of export.

For the benefit of himself and cronies, Poroshenko ruined the social sector of the economy and state administration. In fact, Ukrainians got poorer by 2.5 times on the average, prices of utilities increased sixfold, inflation accounted for more than 80%, Ukraine’s GDP fell by over 25% and the devaluation of the grivna made up the whopping 300%.

In France, Senate votes to lift anti-Russian sanctions

By Vladimir V. Sytin
The Ukrainian Times

France’s Senate passed a resolution by 302 to 16 on June 8 to lift anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the United States and its European vassals in connection with a civil war in the Donbas region with large Russian populations. According to top politicians, Russia remains the strategic partner of France.

Readers of The Ukrainian Times know that Israel did not support the anti-Russian sanctions because Israel and Russia have vital mutual interests. The Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine pointed out that Israeli authorities could not influence private companies and natural persons doing business in Crimea. It is worth recalling that the Crimeans, with an extremely high turnout never experienced in the so-called “western democracies”, voted 97.6% to rejoin Russia, where Crimea resided for longer that the U.S. existed, until Nikita Khrushchev, a Ukrainian, transferred Crimea from the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic to the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic when both were within the Soviet Union.

Many critics believe that the sanctions against Russia and saber rattling by the West will only make matters worse. Russia provides a third of the EU’s oil and nearly 40% of its natural gas.

Agri & Food Innovation Forum held in Kiev to attract investments in Ukrainian agribusiness

The Ukrainian Agri & Food Innovation Forum’16 took place under the patronage of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on June 8. The Forum was organized within the framework of the XXVIII international agricultural exhibition AGRO-2016 at the Expocenter of Ukraine in Kiev.

The organizer of the Exhibition is the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine; the organizer of the Forum is A7 CONFERENCES. Official partners of the Forum included the international law firm Dentons, the ArtStroiService construction company, Kievstar and the Orange Park residential complex. The event brought together more than 350 participants from 17 countries.

The agricultural sector remains the most attractive investment opportunity that is due to preserving the export potential, fertile land and relatively cheap labor force. Investors take a keen interest in both Ukrainian crop farming and livestock breeding. However, the prospects of the national agro-industry in the global market are not limited to wheat or sunflower oil. Recently, Ukraine has been finding new niches of food commodities. Ukrainian producers are entering food markets in China and South Asia. Therefore, there are good grounds for believing that this year Ukraine will be on the strategic investors’ radar.

Vladislava Rutitskaya, deputy agriculture minister for European integration, pointed out that last year was marked by a considerable increase in the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to China. "We have succeeded in reaching 1.3 billion grivnas worth of agricultural exports,” she said. “Ukrainian milk sellers were also afforded the opportunity to export their products to China. However, the problem of planning trade routes remains pressing. In addition to the transit potential, a New Silk Road, as the strategy of cooperation with China, gives an opportunity to establish joint enterprises and/or industrial parks in order to attract Chinese investments in Ukraine. In fact, our Chinese partners are interested in investing in joint agricultural projects. Today New Silk Road means mutually beneficial routes and economic ties, as well as the creation of economic space based on mutually advantageous cooperation."

According to participants in the Forum, the agricultural sector will become a driving force if it develops along all lines, including a steady rise in the rate of agricultural production and processing, as well as the introduction of innovations. The efficiency of production will depend on the land market and taxation reforms, oil prices and development of alternative energy, while factors of growth of the domestic market, changes of consumption standards in this country and on foreign markets, state control over the system of export incentives are supposed to influence development of the processing system.

Besides, the Forum participants stressed that prospective investors would bring money to Ukraine as soon as a moratorium on the purchase and sale of agricultural land is lifted. Another factor in streamlining the influx of foreign investments into the Ukrainian market is the stability of tax and currency laws and title guarantees. Also, investors are waiting for currency restrictions to be lifted. They should have confidence that they will operate comfortably, safely and profitably in Ukraine.

LDPR leader calls U.S. monster

Vladimir Zhirinovskiy, leader of the Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), thinks the United States is the “country-monster” that needs constant wars and strives for global supremacy. “Those who are talking about supremacy, saying they are the best, turn out to be scoundrels, blackguards and crazies,” he said.

According to politologist Paul Craig Roberts, American hegemony-crazed neoconservatives boast how they have surrounded Russia, but it is America that is
surrounded by Russia and China, thanks to the incompetent leadership, which the U.S. has had beginning with the Clintons. The only achievements of the neocons are to destroy in war crimes millions of people in eight countries and to send the remnant populations fleeing into Europe as refugees, thus undermining American puppet governments there, as well as to set back the chance of world peace and American leadership by creating a powerful strategic alliance between Russia and China.

American puppet government continues to bring Ukraine to ruin

Yuri Boiko, leader of the Opposition Bloc, notes that the American puppet government of Ukraine is destroying the economy, trumpeting grandiloquent
slogans. It is worth recalling that those, who came to power owing to the bloody neo-Nazi coup, promised citizens of this country economic prosperity, stability, urgent reforms and the eradication of corruption.

According to Mr. Boiko, over the course of two years the Ukrainian neo-Nazi regime has been telling tales with an affected pathos while living conditions of the population are becoming worse with each passing day. Businesses go belly up, enterprises have to shut down, and a civil war in the Donbas region with large Russian populations continues. The leader of the Opposition Bloc believes the obedient puppets of Washington are stubbornly bringing Ukraine to ruin.

Ukraine faced with severe business depression

Bad news is that Ukraine has been faced with the severest business depression since the world crisis of 2008. Private business people and farms decreased in number by 27.5% and 12% respectively in 2014 alone.

More than 32% of state-owned enterprises disappeared into thin air in this country. As far as foreign investors are concerned, only 676 foreign companies remain in Ukraine today, compared with 2,000 in 2014.

It is clear that the American puppet government continues to struggle against the real sector of the economy, destroying the economic potential of this country. According to Alexander Okhrimenko, president of the Ukrainian Analytical Center, without the free trade area with the Russian Federation, Ukraine’s machine-building and chemical industries will suffer heavily.
